Welcome to the Mercy Health Partners’ Development Council
The success of meeting our philanthropic goals at Mercy Health Partners depends largely upon the community volunteers of the MHP Development Council. The Council consists of volunteers from the community who act as MHP ambassadors. The Development Council is committed to developing the resources necessary for advancing Mercy Health Partners’ mission to create a healthier community for the greater Muskegon area.
The Development Council was created to build financial support for MHP as we strive to meet the growing needs of the communities we serve. Through the work of the Council members, contributions and gifts are secured to support patient care, medical equipment upgrades, and educational activities and programs throughout our system. The MHP Development Council raises money by:
- Securing gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations through direct mail, personal visits, grant writing and other means.
- Hosting special events.
- Educating people about tax-wise giving to encourage gifts of stock, property, insurance, wills, and bequests. (Planned Giving)
- Conducting major fundraising campaigns to support Mercy Health Partners’ work in the community.
The staff of the Community Development Department works closely with the Development Council and supports their contact and administrative needs. For information, or to make a gift, please contact the Community Development Department at (231) 672-4814.
