Philosophy of the Medical Staff

David DoraMHP is the specialty referral hospital along the lakeshore. MHP promotes excellence in a variety of areas through specialized institutes and centers where specialty and primary care physicians and staff work collaboratively. Our centers include the Heart and Vascular Institute, the Centers for Women's Health, the Center for Weight Management, the Imaging Center of Excellence, Primary Care Network, the Center for Cancer Care and the Emergency Center.

Our Medical Staff and Administration of Mercy General have an unusually strong commitment to the educational training of physicians. Residents are respected members of the hospital's medical staff and function as an integral part of the healthcare team.

MichiganPhysicians in training are given progressive responsibility and receive consistent support from the medical staff. The Mercy General teaching staff is young, involved and aggressive and our attending physicians encourage frequent interaction.  All specialty rotations combine ambulatory and inpatient learning to provide interns and residents greater exposure and experience.

I would be pleased to share more information about the Medical Education programs at Mercy General.  Call or email me any time.
