Mercy Health Partners Consolidates Imaging Services

May 19, 2006 –The Imaging Center of Excellence at Mercy Health Partners has consolidated Imaging Services to the Mercy Campus located at 1500 E. Sherman Blvd.

The MHP Imaging Center of Excellence provides this community and the surrounding areas with exceptional patient care; utilizing the most sophisticated imaging technology available. Our vision is to provide a comfortable, patient-centered environment that meets the needs of our patients and physicians. By having resources and equipment at one location, this eliminates the need for replicated imaging services.

Services that are provided in the Imaging Center of Excellence at the Mercy Campus include an open, fixed Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner, a 16-slice Computerized Tomography (CT) scanner, a mobile Positron Emission Tomography (PET-CT) scanner, nuclear medicine, mammography and ultrasound suites, stereotactic breast biopsy, bone-density scanning, diagnostic x-ray and the Toshiba Infinix Interventional equipment to image and treat blood vessels.

For Obstetric patients, ultrasound services will continue at the Muskegon General campus to meet their OB needs. The Oak MediCenter will continue to provide x-rays for their patients. All Outpatient x-ray will be done at the Mercy Campus.

MHP is the specialty referral hospital along the lakeshore. MHP’s services include heart and vascular, emergency services, cancer care, bariatric services, a primary care network, nephrology, ENT, laboratory, palliative care and rehabilitation. MHP specializes in a variety of areas through specialized institutes and centers. These include the Heart and Vascular Institute, the Centers for Women’s Health, a Special Delivery Birth Center, the Center for Weight Management, the Imaging Center of Excellence and a state of the art Emergency Center.
