What Our Patients Say

BOTOX®
Tiny injections of BOTOX help temporarily remove wrinkles from the brow and forehead areas. The procedure is quick – it takes about 10 minutes for all injections to be completed. The physician will determine the exact location for the injections based on nerve locations and desired result.

BOTOX works by relaxing overactive muscles that cause lines between the brows to form. BOTOX blocks the transmission of nerve impulses to the injected muscles. BOTOX injections are temporary, lasting about 4 months, and the injection cannot spread beyond the injection site. The injections are painless and while a little bruising can occur it is uncommon and slight.

Chemical Peel
A chemical peel can improve the texture and appearance of the face. A solution containing concentrated doses of acid is applied to the skin for a brief period of time and then is washed off. The solution exfoliates the topmost layers of skin to peel off over several days. When the peeling process is complete, it exposes a new layer of undamaged skin that is smoother in texture and more even in color. The peeling process isn’t quite as drastic as it sounds – most of the time the peeling is really just the flaking-off of old skin.

Usually patients undergo several treatments to obtain the best results. The chemical peel is best for acne, dry skin, sun weathered skin, fine wrinkles and irregular pigmentation.

Clinical Facials
For the ultimate pampering experience try a clinical facial. This facial is unique because we use Hormeta products—a Swiss skin care line made from pure minerals. This facial will leave the skin firmer, smoother, and more radiant skin.

The treatment lasts 50- minutes and includes a gentle facial cleansing, exfoliation and toning treatment, followed by a special mask created specifically for each individual’s skin type. This is followed by a relaxing time under steamer and concludes with a facial massage.

This treatment will decrease the healing time following other aesthetic treatments. Be sure to ask about packages that include a clinical facial.

Collagen Enhancements
Collagen enhancements are injected into the skin to provide structural support. They can be used to give fuller lips and to fill in facial wrinkles and fine lines. Our collagen enhancements are made from natural products and require no allergy testing. Results are immediate and last from 3-12 months. Our collagen enhancement products include Cosmoderm, Cosmoplast, Hylaform, Hylaform Plus, Radiesse, and Restylane.

Laser Treatments
Lasers are used for:

  • Elimination of unwanted hair.
  • Removal of small facial and leg veins.
  • Rejuvenation of sun damaged skin.
  • Removal of wrinkles.
  • Treatment of acne.
  • Treatment of rosacea.
  • Treatment of stretch marks.
  • Treatment of psoriasis.
  • Removal of port wine stain birthmarks.
  • Removal of warts.

The Centers have four separate lasers each with a different wavelength of light, which allows the physicians to more exactly target the treatment area and minimizes damage to surrounding structures.

Most laser treatments are fairly painless. A skin-cooling airflow helps keep you comfortable. Post treatment, the skin may be pink or red and this will last a few hours to a day.

Hair removal
In four or five treatments, the laser will remove unwanted hair from the legs, arms, back, shoulders, underarms, upper lip or bikini area. And the results are virtually permanent, needing only annual touch ups.

The laser emits a beam of energy that passes through the skin follicle, the energy is transformed into heat which disables the follicle so it cannot re-grow hair.

The laser hair removal process usually takes four to five treatments (spaced apart by a month) because hair grows in cycle and the laser only works on hair in the early growth stage. Repeat sessions will treat all follicles in the growth phase.

Vascular conditions
Lasers can treat a variety of vascular (blood vessel) conditions. These include spider veins of the legs and face, port-wine stain birthmarks, warts, and rosacea. The laser targets and coagulates or destroys problem blood vessels while leaving the surrounding skin unchanged and unharmed. Results can be seen in three to four weeks and it takes just one or two treatments.

The laser treatments are gentle enough to use on babies.

Facial rejuvenation
The wrinkles only go where the smiles have been . . . lasers can help rejuvenate your face, taking away laugh lines, sun damage, irregular pigmentation and large pores. Our special pulsed dye lasers remove enlarged blood vessels and stimulate the underlying collagen that supports the skin. There is no scarring or skin damage.

Facial rejuvenation takes three or four treatments and each treatment takes about 20 minutes. Results are visible after the second or third treatment.

Psoriasis
Advanced laser technology can bring relief from the redness, scaling, and itching of psoriasis. To help psoriasis patients, the physician will direct a beam of light and eliminate the small blood vessels that support the growth of psoriatic plaque. When the vessels are gone, the growth of the plaque should be significantly slowed of stopped altogether. Mild or moderate psoriasis responds best to laser treatment,

Psoriasis treatment by laser is similar in overall effectiveness as PUVA, UV or UVB, drugs, and lotions but with fewer undesirable side-effects and longer remission.

Some insurances cover treatments.

Acne
Young people and adults who suffer from inflammatory acne will find reprieve with pulse laser treatments. The laser selectively eliminates the small blood vessels that cause inflammation and red acne. With these blood vessels gone, acne is lessened and more controlled. Acne requires one or two treatments and results are seen in about a month.

The laser treatment is gentle and will not aggravate an existing condition.

Microdermabrasion
This process uses a special device to safely and carefully remove the outermost layer of the skin through the rapid movement of tiny crystal particles. By removing this layer of skin, dead skin cells are eliminated and the vacuuming action of the treatment increases skin circulation, which helps to soften fine facial lines. Our special process includes pre-cleansing and post-treatment vapor therapy. After a microdermabrasion treatment, when the skin is properly re-hydrated and pH is calibrated, patients should not see flaking or peeling. Your skin will appear pink and will feel much softer.

A starter set of skin care products is included for patients who opt for a microdermabrasion package. For those who want to purchase individual treatments the skin care products are a required purchase. Usually 4-6 treatments are required for optimal results.

Permanent Makeup
Imagine waking up everyday with part of your makeup already on. That’s exactly what permanent makeup can do. Our certified aesthetician specializes in the application of permanent eyebrows, eyeliner, eyelash enhancement, lip liner, and full lip coloring.

Permanent makeup application is similar to tattooing. A topical numbing cream is applied and the skin is gently etched open and a permanent pigment is implanted into the skin. Typically 3 sessions are needed to complete the process, each session lasting about 30 minutes.

Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a procedure used for treating unsightly varicose veins. A very small needle is used to inject a concentrated salt solution into the abnormal vein. This scars the inside of the blood vessel, which then shuts down and disappears. These superficial veins are safe and easy to treat with a low complication rate and minimal discomfort. Results are usually seen within days to weeks. Multiple treatments my be necessary.

In addition to aesthetic services we also offer a wide range of skin care products to meet your needs. These are top quality products that are only available through a physician. We carry the Obagi, Glytone and Newport skin care lines. We also offer Jane Iredale Pure Mineral Make-up.
