Mercy Home Healthcare

Home HealthcareHome is more than a place to stay. It is a favorite chair, a beloved pet, a treasured memory, someone you love. But sometimes age, illness, a chronic condition or a disability can make living at home quite difficult. Mercy Health Partners Mercy Homecare can offer you the help you or someone you love needs to remain in the comfort of home.

Care Following a Hospital Stay...

You or someone you love may need care following a stay at the hospital. You may need to learn about new medications. You may need help with personal care and everyday activities during the first weeks following hospitalization. Perhaps you need equipment, like a hospital bed, wheelchair, walker, or a personal emergency communication device to make life at home comfortable and safe.

Mercy’s professional caregivers work with your doctor to give you the care you need in the comfort of your home.

When You’re Overwhelmed by Illness...

You or someone you love may have to deal with an ongoing illness or condition. Diabetes, asthma, emphysema, hypertension, and cardiac disease are examples of chronic illnesses that may be a part of your life.

Fortunately, many people with chronic illnesses can carry on a fairly normal life with care at home. A person with respiratory illnesses can remain comfortably at home with the help of Mercy’s home oxygen programs.

Caring for a Newborn...

Sometimes, newborn babies need extra support at home in the first few weeks of life. In the past, a baby who was jaundiced might have had to stay in the hospital a few more days. Now, newborn infants can receive light treatments for jaundice at home.

Mercy Homecare provides the care and equipment (including home apnea monitors) that your baby’s doctor may order for your baby’s first weeks at home. Mercy also works with some insurance plans that cover a home nursing visit for your baby when you go home from the hospital within a short period of time.

Making Home a Safer, More Comfortable Place...

A piece of home medical equipment can make home a safer, more comfortable place. Bathroom safety equipment can make a big difference in someone’s life. A hospital bed placed in a convenient space may make it possible for someone who must stay in bed to enjoy the activities of home life.

Mercy Homecare supplies a full range of home medical equipment that helps make living at home possible when ordered by your doctor.

Mercy Helps You Get the Home Care Solutions You Need...

Mercy Homecare helps you find solutions for your home care problems. Mercy’s staff of nurses, therapists, medical social workers, and home health aides work as a team to make sure that you receive the care you need. Mercy works with you and your doctor as partners in your care at home.

Most home medical equipment and many home care services are covered, in full or in part, by Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross and other insurance plans. Mercy helps you determine which services and equipment are covered by your insurance, and tailors non-covered home care services to meet your needs and fit your budget. Services are also available at competitive, reasonable rates, should you choose to pay privately for your care.

If you need help at home, ask your doctor about home care, or call Mercy to find out how we can assist you.
