The Mercy Health Partners' occupational and environmental
medicine clinic - Westshore Occupational Health Center is a valuable
resource for employers in Muskegon County. The Center is dedicated
to the health and safety of workers and workplaces.
Westshore Occupational Health Center offers a variety of services
to its customers with the goal of injury and illness prevention,
health maintenance and early rehabilitation when injuries and/or
health problems occur in the workplace.
The benefit of an occupational medicine specialist is that the
physician or mid-level provider has specialized training in this
highly specific area of medicine. Occupational medicine specialists

Goals of Occupational Medicine:
- To maintain and improve the well being of the employee
through education and early detection of illnesses.

illnesses.

- To reduce absenteeism, disruption in lifestyle, and
