Specialty Programs
F.I.T. - Functional Industrial Therapeutics
A return-to-work services program provides testing of an injured
workers physical capabilities and analysis of work site, followed
by an individualized rehabilitation program consisting of functional
training and work simulation. Pre-employment screening/testing is
also available. A psychological component is also featured in this

Neurological Rehabilitation
This program assists those experiencing neurological trauma due
to stroke or head injury. The neurological team consists of a physical
therapist, occupational therapist, speech pathologist, medical social
worker, pastoral chaplain, and registered dietitian. The team works
in cooperation with the physician to achieve maximum levels of functioning

Summer Pediatric Rehabilitation Program
Our summer program provides physical, occupational, and speech
therapy services. This program is offered to children who are language
or speech impaired and physically impaired, who attend special programs
during the school year or who were recently referred for evaluation.

Voice Clinic
This program specializes in diagnosis and treatment of voice disorders.
The speech pathologists work closely with physicians to help clients
restore their voice. Specialized diagnostic equipment includes video

Aquatic Rehabilitation
This unique environment offers all of the benefits and services
of traditional "land" therapy, but has the added services
of water therapy. The pool component is an added benefit for the
majority of our clients and increases the amount of exercise a person
can tolerate. Several group programs are available to the public
including: arthritis pool exercise program, fibromyalgia pool class

Wound Care
This program offers "state-of-the-art" equipment in treatment
of wounds. The physical therapists work closely with the referring
physicians to ensure a safe and timely healing process to help clients
return to their activities of daily living. This program is available

MHP Sports Medicine
Mercy Health Partners Rehabilitation Center is a complete
orthopedic rehabilitation facility providing a full range of evaluative,
preventative and rehabilitative programs including Occupational
Therapy and Functional Industrial Therapeutics. Its Sports Medicine
component provides a wide range of programs to meet the medical
needs of athletes - recreational or competitive - to help individuals
enjoy athletic activities in a safe and healthy manner.
Pedorthics
A certified pedorthist to analyze, fabricate and adjust custom
made shoe and foot inserts, and braces, to enhance or correct a
sports injury.
School Outreach Contracts
Assists athletic programs of area school systems through provision
of a complete sports medicine program. Services include pre-season
physicals, visitations during practice, coverage at competitive
events, educational information to coaching staff, assessment and
treatment of injuries with referrals to appropriate medical care
as well as recommendations to prevent sports-related injuries.
Community Recreational Events
Contributes to community-based recreational events through the
provision of sports medicine services, as well as organizing and
sponsoring various events.
Information and Referral Source
Provides answers to your questions or concerns related to involvement
in athletic or recreational activities.
Staff
The Sports Medicine team is extensive and well qualified. Our staff
includes physicians, a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist,
athletic trainers certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association,
physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.

Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
