Greater than 10 = very high risk

The results of this quiz can be discussed with your physician. Some at home recommendations for the different risk levels are:

Low risk: Simply continue to monitor your diet to ensure adequate intake of calcium. Calcium supplements with Vitamin D can be used if dietary calcium is not adequate.

Moderate risk: See your physician. Calcium supplementation with Vitamin D is warranted. Medications should be checked to see if they could result in Osteoporosis. If there is a history of Osteoporosis in the family, the physician may opt to treat more aggressively.

High risk: See your physician regularly. Calcium supplementation with Vitamin D and additional therapies are probably needed (e.g. Fosamax, Miacalcin). These people are at a very high risk of fractures and associated problems.
